Hello everyone,
As you know, me and :iconadl-art: took the charge of organizing the gallery and we are working hard to keep it that way.

It came to our attention that a lot of people are not following the guidelines for submissions which is sad to say the very least.
We work so hard, but it feels like no one cares. People keep submitting things to the wrong folders, or submitting art carelessly without selecting the appropriate folder for it.

Please don't!

We have a variety of folders where your art would fit perfectly! Why would you choose to ignore those and jumble all into a different folder? Say why would you have a Joker art related image in the Poison Ivy folder or viceversa? It throws off the whole concept of folders and it goes back to the whole chaos we had at the beginning where everything was in one folder and it was super hard to go through the gallery then.

All we are asking is that you guys submit your art to the right folder. It isn't that much to ask for, right? :aww:

Another thing, I know most people want to submit to the featured folder, but that folder we try to keep for outstanding pieces.
I know, I know, who am I to decide that? Well I am no one, but think about those who work hard on their art? Those who draw real masterpiece quality images and never get anything out of it, other than the joy of drawing and sharing with others! Don't they deserve some kind of recognition? That's why the folder is there! You can see it as a reward(?) of sorts, so please try to not submit there! It's kind of like our own Daily Deviations, but with more Batman to the mix. Most likely if you submit a doodle for approval to the featured folder we won't allow it... it isn't fun for many, but I think it is fair.

Thanks a lot for your attention! Keep rocking!:batman:

Thank you for all your hard work.

I love groups that have organised folders, cause it makes it easier to go through and pic out stuff to fav.

A suggestion for the featured folder though; you could always keep a list of what is submitted in a month and then have a vote open to the group and the best three get to go in the featured folder. A monthly event if you like.

Thanks for all the hard work, guys! A quick suggestion. Maybe just not allow anyone at all to post to the Featured folder, and leave it for only pieces that you guys would go through and decide to feature?

You and everyone who has worked on the folders aren't asking for anything unreasonable, so don't feel bad about keeping the Featured folder for what you consider to be great, etc. :)

It's a little extra work, but I recommend making another journal entry that's extremely short and to the point. Something along the lines of:

"YOU MUST SUBMIT TO THE CORRECT FOLDER.
Three or more incorrect submissions and you will be banned from making further submissions. If you're unsure of where something goes, ask!"

I say this for two reasons...

1. While I think this journal entry is perfectly fine, I'd wager a lot of people who break submission rules don't bother with reading "long" journal entries. Just do something all big and bold to get their attention, and get your point across hard and fast.

2. I know it's extra work, but from what I've seen when helping out with group submissions in other groups, those who are putting things in the wrong folder tend to be repeat offenders. If you can, keep track with your other mods of which people are submitting things to the wrong place. Three strikes (or less/more) and you're out.
